Description
The Department of Psychiatry is looking for Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s) to assist in a large-scale cohort and clinical trial study on youth sleep and mental health with aim to uncover the complex relationship between sleep and circadian disturbances and mental health in adolescents through a two-phase study. Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Social Sciences, Public Health, Sciences, or any related discipline; (ii) a proficient English and Cantonese speaker with strong communication skills; (iii) well-organised, reliable and efficient; (iv) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and (v) enthusiasm in research. Candidates with research experience in youth mental health and knowledge in statistical analysis will be advantageous. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) performing clinical and research interviews with subjects; (b) conducting neurocognitive and sleep assessment; (c) providing assistance in development of psychological intervention to subjects; (d) assisting in data entry and analysis; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned. On-the-job training will be provided. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
