Description
The School of Architecture is now inviting applications for Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s) to conduct architectural and multidisciplinary research in Hong Kong. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Design, or related fields; (ii) proficiency in written English and Chinese; (iii) competency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint; (iv) an interest in interdisciplinary research in humanities and/or life sciences; and (v) excellent communication, organisational and good teamwork skills. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting in the execution of projects, liaising with funding bodies and undertaking project administration; (b) producing architectural research, design, drawing and model-making production and implementation of architectural design and restoration projects; (c) providing assistance in preparing reports and manuscripts; (d) assisting in desktop research, field investigations, interviews, workshops and stakeholder engagement with other interdisciplinary research team members; and (e) carrying out research related activities as assigned by the research team. Appointment will be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
