Description
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Life Science, or related disciplines; (ii) preferably with work experience in laboratory; (iii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin); and (iv) self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and good teamwork spirit. The appointee(s) will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin and at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park and will be responsible for (a) assisting in research projects related to molecular diagnostics and circulating DNA, using various technologies including PCR and DNA sequencing; (b) performing molecular testing and data analysis; (c) assisting in sample collection and processing; (d) assisting in routine laboratory operation and maintenance; and (e) performing ad-hoc duties as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
