Description

Looking for Research assistant for MEng student Research Assistant for Operating and maintaining custom modified commercial UV resin printers. Responsibilities: Operate and maintain custom modified commercial UV resin printers. Design and fabricate modifications for commercial UV resin printers. Modify and optimize slicing software settings and printer firmware for non-standard hardware configurations. Measure, quantify and interpret printing improvements caused by modifications. Generate technical reports, white papers, and presentations summarizing results and insights for both internal stakeholders and external publication. Ensure safe handling and disposal of photopolymer resins and solvents, following lab safety protocols. Stay up to date with industry trends, academic research, and emerging technologies in resin-based 3D printing. Work closely with other coworkers to explore uses for the improved UV resin printer. Skills required: Hands-on experience with UV resin (SLA/DLP/LCD) 3D printers, including hardware assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in CAD software (Fusion 360) for designing printer modifications and test models Looking for Research assistant for MEng student
