Research Assistant Department: Design Employment Type: Full Time Location: KSA Reporting To: Amani Fairak Description We're a team of 6 passionate researchers, looking for a Research Assistant to join our team in Saudi Arabia. Who you'll work with: UX Researchers Product Managers Product Designers UX Writers Marketing Key Responsibilities As a Research Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our product teams and research initiatives. Your key responsibilities include: Recruit users, both customers and merchants, from inside and outside Tabby, for research studies, both remotely and in-person. Coordinate and facilitate in-person research sessions, and other research events. Conduct quick user calls and share findings with product teams. Create and manage user panels for rapid testing. Review and select research tools (e.g., Question Pro, Ethnio, Lyssna). Contribute to the development and maintenance of research policies and templates. Create, and manage engaging research activities eg events and workshops for stakeholders. Review and improve research activities based on feedback. Create and/or contribute to AI-based research projects to optimise research processes and outputs. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Note: this role is open to bilingual candidates only in Arabic/English. Essential attributes Experience in recruiting users for research, managing personal data cross-country, to highest ethical standards Experience in setting up research operational projects e.g. user recruitment panels, knowledge sharing hubs, managing research tools, or similar work experience. End-to-End Ownership: A proactive self-starter who takes full accountability for project lifecycles. You take pride in delivering high-quality work from inception to completion, requiring only occasional guidance to achieve results. Problem-Solving: A "can-do" mindset focussed on project impact for the end user. You review workflows and implement innovative solutions, such as AI-driven recruitment, to optimise research efficiency. You stay at the forefront of industry best practices and proactively share new methods or developments with the wider team. Organisational skills with a proven ability to manage complex resources and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on detail. Collaboration and Adaptability: A natural relationship-builder who leads their own work while remaining highly adaptable. You are ready to change course, based on team feedback, business priorities, or user needs to ensure a great user experience. Communication: Highly articulate in both written and verbal formats. Ethics and Compliance: A commitment to the highest standards of data ethics and local regulations. You manage user data with total discretion, ensuring strict adherence to privacy guidelines and legal requirements, throughout collection, storage, and access. Desirable attributes A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience using AI to optimise business processes. Project or product management experience in research ops products. Knowledge of using Claude or Cursor to optimise workflows.
