Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to world-class research focused on combating malaria globally. You will play a critical role in supporting MAP’s core research activities, including preparing model inputs, managing workflows, and disseminating results.
Working closely with MAP researchers and our international collaborators, you’ll also contribute to peer-reviewed publications and data visualisations, assisting in efforts that shape malaria control strategies worldwide.
This is a desk-based role with flexible work arrangements, offering a collaborative and innovative environment where your contributions will make a real difference. It is a full-time contract until 31st July 2027 in the first instance.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring the following:
- A Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, or a related field.
- Strong skills in data management, analysis, and visualization using tools such as R, Excel, and ArcGIS.
- Proven ability to process and interpret complex datasets with attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills, including experience in contributing to publications.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
