Job Title: Research Assistant (Temporary Role - 3 Months Full-Time)
Location: On-site in Kitchener, ON (2-3 days per week) and Remote (2-3 days per week)

POSITION

We are looking for a dedicated Research Assistant to support our research projects involving a handheld multispectral near-infrared imaging device. This role is suitable for students or recent grads in any field with a strong interest in research, imaging, and/or healthcare. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling data collection and administrative tasks in a research environment. There will be an opportunity to gain research experience in a clinical setting and hand-on experience with innovative imaging technology in this role.
This is a temporary full-time position with MIMOSA, expected to begin in mid-July and conclude in mid-October 2025. The role involves on-site client work in Kitchener 2–3 days per week, with the remainder of the week remote. Candidates must have reliable transportation to travel to the client site as needed. Working hours will vary during the on-site days to accommodate the research projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled student (open to all fields), with an interest in research or healthcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver, with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic familiarity with imaging or data collection tools is a plus, but not mandatory; training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a handheld multispectral near-infrared imaging modality for data collection and assist in its maintenance.
  • Support research administrative tasks, including study setup, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Write and manage research documentation, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts and assist with data management and analysis.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with researchers to ensure project milestones are met.
