Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The main tasks will be to support with:

  • The Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA), including sourcing, reviewing, and critically analysing relevant literature from a wide range of scholarly and policy/practice-related sources.
  • Constructing a sampling framework for the nationally representative survey, using local authority published data and lists.
  • Data collection via interviews with childminders.
  • Organising and coordinating childminder workshops.
  • Organising and conducting project and fieldwork research activities as required, including project team and stakeholder engagement meetings.
  • Synthesising and writing up the research results, including findings from the REA.
  • Engaging in research dissemination, engagement, and impact activities in collaboration with internal and external research partners and stakeholders.

The postholder will work closely with the Investigators and be part of a broader team with substantial expertise in early years education and systematic review methodological skills.
This post is funded at 0.7FTE (25.55 hours per week) between August 2025 and February 2027.
