MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field.
  • Experience working in a lab environment and conducting/contributing to research projects.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within time constraints.
  • Flexibility in response to changes in the project environment.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative, as well as to follow directions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSc in Kinesiology or related field.
  • Experience with human cardiovascular research.
  • Experience with vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities
  • Administration (maintenance of lab records, purchasing supplies and equipment, documenting training, movement of research records and equipment).
  • Lab set up and data collection (configuring equipment, participant recruitment and scheduling, human cardiovascular research studies using vascular ultrasound, hemodynamic monitoring and exercise equipment, systematic review assistance).
  • Data analysis (cardiovascular research data and review data).
  • Ethics and manuscript preparation (preparation and submission to REB, drafting protocols and experimental procedures, formatting for submission).
  • Technical training - skills (e.g. vascular ultrasound, pulse wave velocity, blood pressure assessment, exercise testing, data analysis) and safety training for new lab members.
