THE OPPORTUNITY:
We present an exciting opportunity to work as a Research Assistant on a project titled “Whole school approaches for maximising movement and learning: co-development of a teacher toolkit”. This is an interdisciplinary project bringing together researchers from Moray House School of Education and Sport and partners from Actify , Paths for All , Education, and Public Health.
This project involves working collaboratively with project partners, schools and teachers across Scotland to co-develop a teacher toolkit. The ultimate aim is to support schools to implement novel approaches to increasing physical activity levels of pupils, with the purpose of supporting health, wellbeing, and education of pupils. This will involve co-development of a toolkit, testing and evaluating the toolkit with school teachers, and recording evidence of impact (full details in the job description).
This post is part time (14 hours per week) and we are open to discussing a flexible work pattern. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working, although please note that some tasks will be required to be undertaken in person in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
The Salary for Grade UE06 is £33,882 to £39,105 per annum, pro rata. Due to grant budget it is expected that appointments would only be to a maximum of UE06 Step 4, which is within a range of £33,882 to £36,924 per annum, pro rata.
