ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Sydney School of Health Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine and Health is at the forefront of health science education and undertakes high-impact research that anticipates the health issues of tomorrow while overcoming the challenges of today.
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with a strong interest in cardiovascular disease prevention and management.
This is an opportunity to provide support on research that has national and international scope. You will be assisting Dr Dean Picone and the team in their vision to improve the measurement and management of high blood pressure through a program of cutting-edge clinical research studies.
This role offers flexibility to be either full-time or part-time, with a 3-4 day work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • collect, manage, and analyse quantitative and qualitative research data, including use of tools like REDCap
  • develop and maintain research protocols with the Chief Investigator, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ethics requirements
  • provide advice on research regulations, solve conceptual problems, and recommend improvements in collaboration with the research team
  • conduct literature reviews, summarise findings, and manage academic records such as EndNote libraries and publication registers
  • prepare and coordinate submissions to ethics and governance committees as required
  • coordinate research activities and communications, including site initiations, meetings, and collaboration with clinicians and researchers
  • support research publication development and provide occasional administrative assistance to the team.
