The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term for 12 months.
The fixed-term employment is possible as it constitutes one of the fixed-term options of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (German Act on Fixed-term Scientific Contracts).
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 10 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 16,00 euros per hour.

IHRE AUFGABEN

As part of the conception and development of a new Master’s degree programme ‘Battery Science and Technology’, we are looking for active support in the creation of new teaching materials for an interdisciplinary degree programme. The programme is aimed at students with a Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences or engineering and follows an innovative teaching concept. This includes the active involvement of students in current research projects and laboratory work, the use of a blended learning approach and a strong emphasis on interdisciplinarity. Students from all over Europe will also be addressed, partly due to the choice of English as the lecture language.

Your tasks include:

  • Support in the creation of lecture and exercise materials for the submodule “Charging Infrastructure and Vehicle to grid/ Vehicle to home” containing topics like:
  • Charging stations, operation, planning, business models, energy markets, electricity grids, vehicle-to-grid, vehicle-to-home, value stacking/multi use
  • Charging standards, different charging capacities, system architecture of charging stations, grid requirements
  • Economics of battery charging stations including placement, operation strategy and regulationsSwarm storage (home storage & traction batteries)

    • Support in the implementation of supporting teaching material in Moodle and Dynexite
  • Structuring digital learning spaces
