Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking two researchers to join our team to work across four EU-funded projects, led by Professor Evina Katsou.

  • The StreamSTEP project focuses on optimizing resource-efficient energy systems in energy-intensive industries (EIIs) by integrating advanced digital tools, real-time environmental monitoring, and life cycle assessments (LCA).
  • The SAFELOOP project aims to enhance the safety, sustainability, and performance of European Gigafactory-scale lithium-ion battery (LIB) cells, ensuring compliance with EUCAR Hazard Level 3 standards for mobility applications.
  • The CSSBOOST project focuses on developing Circular Systemic Solutions (CSS) within a digital ecosystem for regions and cities.
  • The CRONUS project emphasizes bioenergy innovation with carbon capture and utilization techniques.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

The role will be divided into 50% FTE between projects, so you will spend your time working on two projects simultaneously.
You will develop and refine methodologies for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data relevant to the projects’ goals. You will also submit publications to refereed journals, present at international conferences, and attract external research funding.
