Introduction: The Center for Clinical Best Practices (CCBP) has been working in collaboration with the U.S GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation) Network to develop evidence-based guidelines and care pathways to standardize and improve health outcomes and quality of health care in Low and Middle-Income Countries. The center will channelize and consolidate resources and efforts to bring in the much needed standardized, high-quality evidence-based care to the communities where AKU exists, taking into account the local challenges and opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about evidence-based healthcare, pediatric medicine, and guideline development, and will work closely with pediatric faculty and clinical experts to create standardized recommendations and clinical algorithms for commonly occurring pediatric conditions. The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the CITRIC CCBP. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager, CCBP, the Research Associate will support the development of localized evidence-based pediatric clinical practice guidelines and contribute to improving child health outcomes through research, evidence synthesis, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Specifically, you will be responsible to: work with Pediatric Faculty, Sections, and Departments to coordinate guideline and manual development activities. develop evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and clinical algorithms for commonly occurring pediatric disease conditions. conduct preliminary literature reviews and synthesize research evidence to support clinical decision-making. assess and appraise evidence and assist expert panels in formulating recommendations using evidence-based methodologies. support the writing, editing, submission, and tracking of guideline documents, manuscripts, and grant applications. coordinate timelines and monitor the progress of guideline development projects. collaborate with multidisciplinary clinicians, researchers, and subject experts in guideline creation and implementation activities. contribute to scientific writing, publication development, and dissemination of findings in peer-reviewed journals. provide education and training in evidence-based practice and quality improvement to trainees, staff, and faculty. provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth functioning of the Center. Requirements: You should have: MBBS degree. a strong interest in Pediatrics and Child Health. understanding of research methods and evidence-based practice; familiarity with GRADE methodology will be considered an added advantage. experience in scientific writing, manuscript development, chapter writing, or evidence synthesis preferred. strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment. proficiency in MS Office, EndNote, and other relevant data management and presentation software.
