Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate, Department of Dentistry. Note: This position is contractual for a period of six months. Responsibilities: You will be responsible to: Conduct literature searches and perform related tasks assigned by the supervisors (PI and Co-PIs). Prepare and update drafts of research proposals, research papers, progress reports, literature reviews, etc., for the supervisors’ review and submission. Actively participate in data collection as assigned. Periodic responsibilities will be assigned from time to time based on the supervisors’ requirements. Coordinate with the field administration to ensure clear and timely communication when require. Requirements: You should have: BDS or equivalent qualification. Background in medical education or research. Proficiency in data analysis using STATA and/or SPSS. Ability to monitor databases, ensure safe storage of data (both electronic and hard copies), and hand over data to the primary supervisor. Ability to maintain and update complete records and files (ongoing grant documents, active ERCs, consent forms, and other related documents) in accordance with institutional or grant agency policies. Ability to liaise with relevant AKU departments for grant approvals at the time of submission and manage upload and follow-up through the AKU PeopleSoft system. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
Responsibilities
The Research Associate will be responsible for conducting literature searches, preparing and updating drafts of research documents like proposals and papers, and actively participating in data collection as assigned by supervisors. Periodic responsibilities will also be assigned based on supervisory requirements, including coordinating with field administration.
