Our faculty work closely with a team of 40+ specialised medical staff, nurses, optometrists, technicians and others to offer comprehensive eye care for adults and children. These include (but are not limited to) surgery for cataract, corneal transplant, retinal disorders, glaucoma, orbital and facial reconstruction, refractive, squint and ophthalmic tumors. Most of these services are delivered through the outpatient consulting clinics and/or day care surgery. This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position. Job Role / Responsibilities: You will be responsible to: assist in planning, designing, and executing research protocols under supervision draft and submit research ethics applications, grant proposals, and project reports support data collection, management, and cleaning for quantitative and qualitative studies perform basic statistical analysis and contribute to academic manuscript writing coordinate with institutional offices and collaborators for multi-site research initiatives maintain research documentation, databases, and publication records communicate progress and findings through departmental and donor-required channels. Requirements You should have: master’s degree in public health, health management, health economics, or a related health sciences field from a recognised university short training or certification in research grant management, financial planning, or project administration (preferred) minimum two years of experience in a research or academic setting experience managing financial components of grants and research projects demonstrated involvement in peer-reviewed research and publications strong knowledge of research methods, ethics submissions, and clinical research operations working knowledge of financial systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, or equivalent for grant budgeting and tracking proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA), and reference managers (e.g., EndNote) excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision high integrity and attention to detail, particularly in financial reporting and budgeting. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
