ABOUT THE ROLE
The Research Associate in Formulations provides senior technical oversight in the test article formulation laboratory area. This position will require a full understanding and ability to prepare forms for calculation and formulation instruction as well as test material needs for the study. Provides training and support for less experienced staff. Proficient in using Dispense reporting, study set up and finalization. Prepare and perform quality control formulation notebooks for submission to QA with minimal or no minor errors.
WHAT YOU€™LL DO HERE
• Perform (as necessary) dose preparation and dispensing of test and control article materials, ensure appropriate review of data is completed in a timely manner
• Demonstrate high quality documentation skills with minimal or no minor errors
• Perform reconciliation of test and control articles in a complete and timely manner
• Assure that formulation forms are prepared correctly and capture study needs
• Review protocols and assures that the formulation section is clear and provides adequate information
• Perform review and QC of data and formulation notebooks
• Assist in mentoring junior staff in increasingly complex formulation processes, reviews formulation documentation prior and post preparation
• Evaluate test article processes for adherence to GLP regulations
• Coordinate and ensure the validation/calibration status of equipment with test article equipment representatives is current
• Address audit findings and implements appropriate corrective actions
• Reviews SOP’s for laboratory procedures and equipment for completeness and accuracy
• Prepare and ship materials
• Ensure appropriate repairs to equipment are completed in a timely manner
• Cross-train to support pharmacy operations, i.e. dispense controlled substances
• Serve as “off-hours” emergency contact, i.e. refrigerator and freezer temperature out of range notification
• Participate in preparation of training materials
