Overview The Research Associate II will contribute to innovative tissue regeneration studies by performing cell culture and animal model experiments, analyzing data using molecular and statistical methods, and supporting the development of new research protocols. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary lab, contribute to publications and grants, and help advance scientific discoveries in regenerative biology. Responsibilities Perform a variety of defined research and laboratory duties according to principal investigator (PI) and assigned schedules. Set up experiments as prescribed by PI. Utilize cell culture or animal models for tissue regeneration studies and analyze resulting data with molecular techniques or statistical software. Assist with laboratory upkeep such as ordering supplies, maintenance and cleaning of equipment, inventory and media preparation. Maintain records, files, and experiments in laboratory notebooks and online databases. Compile data and results for publications, grants or presentations. Monitor the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and controlled substances. Perform related responsibilities as required by PI and university policies. Employees in this classification may be required to work with, take specific precautions against and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALITIFICATIONS:• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and two years of research experience OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.• Proficiency in a variety of molecular and cellular techniques such as PCR, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills in a multidisciplinary team setting.• Ability to optimize, develop, and troubleshoot experimental protocols.• Experience working with mice including, but not limited to, general husbandry and surgical experiments.• Knowledge of bioinformatics tools or statistical software.• Prior experience working in a research lab that focuses on tissue regeneration or other relevant research fields.
