Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The programme of work in which the PDRA will participate is an international collaboration between geneticists and biologists from the Universities of Exeter, Cambridge and Copenhagen with Imperial College, London. Its overall aim is to understand the key genes, and their effects, in determining a healthy reproductive lifespan.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

You will be responsible for further developing in vitro cell models that are relevant to both age of menopause and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in the laboratory of Prof Stephen Franks. You will explore gene function and hormonal pathways relevant to ovarian ageing and PCOS, using ovarian cell models, molecular techniques and integrative analysis.
