Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is an opportunity for an experienced Firedrake and PyOP3 developer to contribute to simulation science by developing and supporting advanced finite element software.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

In the initial months, the objective is to integrate PyOP3 into the Firedrake framework, and establish evidence of the performance, correctness and generality of this approach. In the later months, your role broadens to support and develop the Firedrake system and its user community as determined by the outcome of the upcoming Firedrake community engagement process. You will be expected to submit publications to refereed journals and to contribute to attracting external research funding.
