Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a unique opportunity for an early career genomic and cellular and molecular biologist wishing to develop their research with a multidisciplinary focus, working at the intersection of genomics and cardiology. This post is funded by a British Heart Foundation Special Grant. The Noseda team works collaboratively with Prof Manuel Mayr at Imperial and Prof. Thomas Treibel at UCL with the ultimate objective to improve our understanding of cardiac remodelling in valve disease using and integrated approach including single cell and spatial transcriptomics with spatial proteomics. Dr Noseda is an expert in multiomics approaches to study human heart disease as shown by the high impact publications

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

In this post, you will be responsible for contributing to the design, implementation of single cell and spatial transcriptomics of human cardiac samples and lead on the computational analysis. You will also contribute to integration of these data with clinical metadata and importantly proteomics. Samples are available so experiments can commence right away. You will be expected to make a major contribution in the scientific and technical excellence and successful performance of the team, including by writing reports and manuscripts and by presenting at internal and external conferences.
