We are looking for a Research Associate to contribute to the development of next-generation battery management systems (BMS). The position is hosted by the Automatic Control group at the Division of Systems and Control, Department of Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Lithium-ion batteries are critical for electrified transportation and smart grid applications—two pillars of a sustainable energy future. Despite rapid advancements, batteries still pose challenges, such as thermal risks, ageing, low utilization, and slow charging.
This project aims to address these challenges by:
The scope of methods and applications will be tailored in collaboration with the selected candidate. The work will be supported by our extensive battery testing facilities, including equipment for commercial cells, half- and three-electrode measurements, and advanced materials analysis.
