We are seeking a motivated and intellectually curious Research Associate to help power our educational efforts through rigorous research, operational support, and team administration. As part of the Cato Institute’s commitment to professional growth, Cato Research Associates participate in educational sessions, workshops, and mentoring programs designed to enhance skills in policy analysis, public speaking, writing, and more.
This is a hybrid position based out of the Cato Institute’s office in Washington DC, with an opportunity for travel to represent Libertarianism.org at conferences and events as needed.
The starting salary for the Research Associate position is $52,000.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Experience with digital publishing and online content management.
• Familiarity with the Cato Institute’s work and mission.
• Prior experience in a think tank, academic, or policy research setting.
