• research in the field of animal locomotion to attain a scientific qualification (habilitation)
• experimental or numerical studies on the locomotor system of insects
• scientific teaching of 4 semester periods per week in animal physiology enabling students to carry out independent scientific work
• preparing, supervising and correcting students’ exams
• supervision of final theses
• support of study organizations and committee work
• publication of research results
