You hold a completed university degree (Diploma, Master's) in biotechnology, microbiology, bioprocess engineering, bioengineering, biochemistry, or a comparable field. Professional experience or a relevant doctorate is advantageous but not required. Furthermore, you possess...

  • practical experience in microbiology, biotechnology and/or bioprocess engineering as well as in sterile working
  • Experience with cyanobacteria/microalgae and/or filamentous fungi; experience with co-cultures is an advantage.
  • Experience in bioreactor and process development; knowledge of the analysis and processing of EPS/biopolymers is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently in a scientific manner, including experimental design, statistical data analysis, and scientific documentation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, good English skills and willingness to collaborate across disciplines

Subject to funding approval by the project sponsor, the position is available from 01.11.2026 at the Pirmasens campus of Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Applied Logistics and Polymer Sciences, full-time (100%), limited until 30.6.2029.
