Summary
As a Research Associate, you will work with a team of Analysts as a member of a Sector Team. You will conduct company and industry specific research and analysis assisting Analysts in recommending equities for client accounts and our in-house funds. You will report to the Managing Director of your Sector Team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze company-specific, industry and macro-economic information from various sources, including regulatory filings, company investor relations websites, third-party research, online sources, newspapers, books, databases, etc., and from speaking with management teams and industry experts
  • Combine information into relevant investment ideas
  • Create and use financial models (e.g. revenue, financial statements, valuation) to support investment ideas
  • Write and present investment recommendations, supported by quantitative analyses, to sector group and to a team of portfolio managers
  • Monitor client investments and relevant coverage areas on an ongoing basis
  • Record meeting notes for sector team meetings & carry out other administrative tasks as requested (e.g. run investment screens, create charts, update financial quarterly financial data, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a record of academic achievement; concentration in finance, economics or related field a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word software programs
  • Progress towards CFA designation a plus

Compensation: $60-65k base salary; additional incentive-based compensation expecte
