Position Summary:
The Research Associate will work closely with the Supervisor and other research team members on ongoing academic research project(s). The position involves conducting literature reviews, co-authoring academic articles, managing citations, assisting with manuscript preparation, and supporting dissemination of research.
Qualifications:

Education/experience requirements

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in Education (or a relevant academic discipline).
  • Strong research skills with experience in conducting literature reviews and

synthesizing academic sources.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to contribute to academic journal

articles.

  • Familiarity with citation management software (e.g., EndNote, Zotero).
  • Experience with academic manuscript preparation and formatting according to

journal guidelines.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all

aspects of research work.

Additional qualifying skills and abilities:

  • Familiarity with Decolonizing and Indigenous methodologies or working with

Indigenous communities is a strong asset.

  • Knowledge of, and sensitivity to, Indigenous knowledge systems, perspectives, and

languages is highly valued.
