Description

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Associate in Prof Liu Xuewei’s group. Prof Liu Xuewei is looking for a Research Associate who is talented scientifically and can help develop critical reactions to simplify the current total synthesis of natural products, carbohydrates and glycoproteins.
The Research Associate will take on a significate role in carrying out unique research and publish high-quality research results, raising the profile and reputation of NTU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various synthetic experiments on the research project.
  • Conduct independent research and publish in reputable academic journals.
  • Communicate research findings through written and oral presentations to both internal and external audiences, including scientific journals.
  • Lead and motivate junior PhD student and undergraduate students
  • Design scientific projects

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or related fields
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in carbohydrate/peptide chemistry
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Good publication record in relevant research areas
  • Experience in writing research papers and communicating them to scientific journals.
  • Experience in mentoring junior graduate and undergraduate students.
