AxBio Inc. is a Silicon Valley startup company developing semiconductor nanotechnology biochips for fast Molecular In-Vitro Diagnostics. Company is well funded and founded by seasoned business and technology experts with broad experience in biotechnology, bioinformatics, IC device development and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
We are seeking a highly motivated Master or Ph.D. level research associate or senior research associate to work together with our senior scientist in protein development for our sequencing technology. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and a results-focused group; will be provided with learning opportunity in a multi-disciplinary environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or related discipline.
  • Experienced in protein expression, purification, and assays (e.g. BCA, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, etc.). At least 2 years of experience in protein purification with FPLC (SEC, Ion exchange, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility, and the capability and willingness to perform a wide range of duties.
  • Familiarity with MS Office.
Responsibilities
  • Contributing to protein reagent development, such as cloning, protein expression, purification, and enzymatic assays.
  • Hands on troubleshooting and problem-solving molecular biology experiments
  • Collaborate and report results effectively with cross-functional groups (molecular biology, engineering, data analysis, and commercial functions)
  • Manage and execute development of protocols, reports and SOPs.
  • Report results in the cross-functional teams.
