For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Collecting and archiving video data and comments on social media; Organizing and conducting interviews; Coordinating with the PI in conducting the critical discourse analysis; and Assisting PI to prepare for conference presentation. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A doctoral degree in communication, media studies, sociology, or a closely related discipline; Demonstrated expertise in digital ethnography, with substantive knowledge of Chinese internet subcultures and vernacular discourse; A strong record of academic publication in English, with evidence of proficient scholarly writing; Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and collegial approach to research; and Prior academic working experience in Hong Kong is an advantage. Responsibilities
