Description
The Department of Psychiatry is looking for Research Associate(s) / Senior Research Assistant(s) (External Fund) to assist in a large-scale cohort and clinical trial study on youth sleep and mental health with aim to uncover the complex relationship between sleep and circadian disturbances and mental health in adolescents through a two-phase study. Applicants should have/be (i) a Master's degree or above, preferably in Social Sciences, Public Health, Sciences, or any related disciplines plus at least four years of post-qualification relevant work experience (for Research Associate(s)); or a Bachelor's degree or above in the abovementioned disciplines plus at least four years of post-qualification relevant work experience (for Senior Research Assistant(s) (External Fund)); (ii) a proficient English and Cantonese speaker with strong communication skills; (iii) well-organised, reliable and efficient; (iv) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and (v) enthusiasm in research. Candidates with research experience in youth mental health and knowledge in statistical analysis will be advantageous. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) overseeing the implementation of project activities and ensuring adherence to timelines; (b) establishing and maintaining relationships with local schools to facilitate participant recruitment and data collection; (c) providing guidance and support to junior colleagues; (d) ensuring smooth execution of project protocols and addressing any challenges that arise; (e) assisting in data analysis and report writing; and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
