JOB DESCRIPTION

Irradiation of the brain in early human life may set abnormal developmental events into motion that last a lifetime, leading to the development of different neurological and neuropsychological disorders. By working on post- or pre-natal irradiated mice, the candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the mechanism of disease genesis, could explore to develop modern radiation detection, disease diagnosis techniques and novel therapy to prevent genesis of neurological and neuropsychological disorders from a long-term point view.

We are seeking motivated Research Assistant / Research Associate and the successful incumbent will work with a team of scientists engaged in radiobiology research. The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Routine lab work and maintenance
  • Small animal handling
  • Molecular biology work
  • Bioinformatical analysis
  • Cell culture
  • Histochemical and immunohistochemical staining.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A B.Sc. and/or Master degree holder in biology or biomedical science
  • Prefer to do small animal research work
  • 2-3 years of working experience in biomedical research laboratory
  • Some background in neuroscience, radiation research, biomarker development and bioinformatical analysis will be a preference
  • Good communications skills and a team player
