Description

Information on the project

: Flooding events are increasingly affecting agricultural crops as a consequence of climate change, since most cultivated plants are sensitive to waterlogging. Some wild plants naturally occur in wetlands and have developed adaptation mechanisms. This project aims to investigate the genetic and anatomical characteristics of species of the genus Cardamine (Brassicaceae, cruciferous plants) that are associated with their flood tolerance.

We are looking for candidates with an MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, or closely related disciplines, a strong scientific interest, and high motivation. Ideally, you will already have initial experience in a molecular biology/biochemistry laboratory. Excellent German and/or English skills (written and spoken) are required.
