ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a candidate progressing an independent research career in renal research, with a strong background in this field. You will have a PhD in an appropriate discipline and be able to evidence either contributions to peer-reviewed journal papers or equivalent experience, for example technical report writing or software development.
You will bring substantial skills and experience in immunofluorescence, microscopy, PCR and in situ hybridisation. You will also have sound statistical and bioinformatics knowledge, with ability to program in R.
Alongside a technical and research background, you will also need to be able to work as a collegiate team member, be flexible to adapting to the changing demands of the research and show a commitment to the continuous professional development of yourself and others.
You will be joining a cutting-edge research project aimed at advancing our understanding of kidney disease through the execution of digital spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and laser capture microdissection. This role will give you the unique opportunity to learn, apply, and become proficient in a comprehensive end-to-end pipeline, from experiment design to data analysis, within this emerging field. This role is critical in leveraging advanced technologies to uncover new insights into kidney disease pathology and potential therapeutic targets.
