JOB SUMMARY

The Research Assistant supports research activities in community-acquired pneumonia, sepsis, and critical care medicine through the execution of experimental assays and clinical research protocols. The role is responsible for conducting laboratory techniques, managing research data, and supporting clinical research workflows. The Research Assistant will work under supervision to support research goals and contribute to the institution’s research output through accurate data collection, analysis, and documentation.

EDUCATION

• Degree in Biological Sciences, Immunology, Microbiology, or a related field

TRAINING / SKILLS

• Familiarity with molecular and immunological laboratory techniques (qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence) is advantageous
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and good laboratory practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis
• Understanding of good clinical practice (GCP) and research ethics principles is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder interaction
• Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative team relationships
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to evolving research needs

EXPERIENCE

• Position suitable for fresh graduates
• Previous laboratory or research experience is advantageous but not essential
