POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and experienced researcher to join our US-based Research & Innovations team as a Research & Collaboration Manager and to help us shape the future of medical imaging as a valued member of our global X-Ray Products R&D team. In this role, you will lead collaborative research projects with leading clinical partners to explore and evaluate new technologies, applications, and products in radiography, fluoroscopy, and mammography. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing research initiatives and collaboration projects, as well as support the US-market introduction of innovative solutions with a focus on clinical value, image quality, and patient dose. You will contribute with scientific publications and conference presentations. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ph.D. in related discipline (e.g. physics, computer sciences, biomedical engineering) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience in various functions. (Advanced degree may be substituted for experience.)
• Expertise in medical physics and statistics
• Strong independent work ethic and ability to multi-task, in a primarily remote work, home office-based setup.
• Excellent skills in MS Office software applications.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication.
• Good track record of scientific publications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and can-do attitude.
• Ability to contribute to the team. Think beyond him or herself.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a virtual and fast-paced environment.

The annual base pay for this position is:
Min $116,500 - Max $174,700
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage research of novel, clinically relevant technologies and applications for our radiography, fluoroscopy, and mammography products with our research partners in the United States.
• Evaluate novel imaging techniques and AI-based medical applications in form of prototypes at multiple clinical and academic centers.
• Support market introduction of innovative products in the Americas regarding clinical value, image quality and patient dose.
• Drive publication of results at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
• Develop research agreements that define the funding and deliverables for each research project; actively engage in project progression, and track deliverables throughout the project.
• Support educational meetings, conferences, and partner site visits
• Educate colleagues on observations and outcomes from your research and collaboration projects, and support marketing and sales teams with your expertise and knowhow.
• Travel domestically to collaboration partners as an integral part of each project (~35% of time) and internationally on occasion, also to synchronize with the global R&D teams at the Siemens Healthineers XP headquarters in Germany.
