Full time, continuing role An excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the university Base Salary $112,628 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The DVC Research team is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Research Contracts and Administration Officer to join their high performing team. In this role, you will provide contract and administrative support for the ongoing activities of the Post Award Research portfolio, ensuring every phase of contracting process progresses on time and maintains a high standard. You will ensure that research documentation is accurate, timely, and presented in an efficient and accurate manner. Your key responsibilities will be to: prepare, review, negotiate and advise on contracts with external parties for key University stakeholders facilitate comprehensive administrative support, optimising workflows and processes in the research arena manage the end-to-end administration of agreements for the funding of research and commercial contracts ensure accuracy and timeliness in research documentation, guiding the collation and presentation of information assist in the oversight of research-related financial activities, including account opening and taking responsibility for related University-wide administrative processes and procedures engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussion to address concerns and gather feedback, ensuring alignment with work area goals manage work area reporting and compliance ensuring accurate information on university systems and adherence to work area requirements coordinate and manage risk assessment activities within the work area, prioritising workplace health and safety and ensuring consistent alignment with university guidelines and best practices. About you a legal background with experience in contract management at a higher education institution experience in managing contracts and processes in a high-volume environment with strict and competing deadlines excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, using initiative and sound judgement proven ability to prioritise workload effectively during busy periods demonstrated ability to work independently under broad direction and to be self-motivated as well as to work successfully in a team environment, and to take initiative well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building, and influencing skills.
