The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Aga Khan University is a dynamic academic center which serves the diagnostic needs of the country through its clinical laboratory services that spreads across Pakistan. AKUH’s Clinical Laboratory is College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited and caters to the need of the entire country through its tertiary lab at the main campus and 300+ specimen collection units and 13 stat labs across Pakistan. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine consists of five major sections namely Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Histopathology, Microbiology, and Molecular Pathology. Each section is academically driven and is highly engaged in research and undergraduate, postgraduate teaching and training. Aga Khan University invites application for the position of Research Coordinator in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. Responsibilities: You will be responsible to: coordinate with research teams to identify project material requirements and track purchase requests, payments, and vendor invoices in coordination with Finance and purchase to ensure timely disbursement raise and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Material Stock Requests (MSRs) through PeopleSoft and maintain accurate records for research activities support teaching activities, including preparation of teaching materials, coordination of classes, and assistance during laboratory or practical sessions support faculty and residents in preparing project costing documents assist in the preparation of reports, budgets, and grant applications as required by funding agencies communicate effectively with grantees, funding organizations, and other internal or external stakeholders as required ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of research and teaching activities maintain, update, and inventory records of teaching materials and laboratory equipment perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer. provide backup support in the absence of staff within the assigned area. Requirements: You should have: a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in science/ management/ commerce and Master’s degree would be preferred a minimum of two to three years of related work experience or the equivalent combination of education excellent command of MS Office and SPSS ability to collect, maintain, analyze data, and prepare reports ability to develop program plan and implementation skills ability to develop and implement new strategies and procedures strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities
