Description

Hey! Fast-paced Immigration Law Firm that focuses on humanitarian cases is in search of Research Coordinators to submit FOIA requests. The research coordinator is part of the research department, which is responsible for obtaining information for the client through the Freedom of Information Act.
NOTE: We are looking for people who have experience in legal or are currently studying something related to law, or if you have previous experience as a paralegal or working in a law firm.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Request FOIA’s for every case
  • Investigate/Research via outbound calls and emails.
  • Coordinate with client coordinators to obtain fingerprints and signatures for FOIA requests
  • Prepare cover letters as needed, identify the information needed to submit FOIA requests
  • Coordinate with in-office administrative assistants to pay for FBI and State requests
  • Manage email boxes to make sure record requests comeback
  • Review record requests once received to pull high-level details to provide to the Paralegals

This position is full-time - 40 hours a week. With a thorough training period. There is no end date for this position.
For this position, you are required to have a great and reliable internet connection. A computer with great headsets, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow. Great English and Spanish are a must.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days a week, 8-hour shift with 1-hour lunch break (unpaid)
