JOB SUMMARY

Coordinate research related activities involving various testing and analysis procedures in support of assigned projects or programs. Analyses typically involve chemical, mechanical, electrical, etc. testing, drawing conclusions and preparing reports. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Research and academic faculty members, laboratory personnel, research sponsors. This position typically will advise and counsel: Research and academic faculty members, laboratory personnel. This position will supervise: NA.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma, Technical Diploma, Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours degree (due years client shift schedules, project requirements).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Five years of job related experience

PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred Experience: 10 or more years in a related field including data acquisition
  • Preferred Education: A.S. or B.S. in a science or engineering field

SKILLS

This job requires working knowledge and developed skills in the application of laboratory testing processes and procedures specific to assigned specialty; analysis and documentation techniques; report writing and communications skills. Use of specialized office automation computer applications also required (e.g. Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

The Job duties of the Research Coordinator will be to:

  • Consult with research leadership to determine scope and extent of testing and analysis requirements in the Medium Voltage Laboratory at NEETRAC
  • Determine equipment and materials needed to support testing and analysis efforts
  • Interpret routine test results and prepare and submit basic test reports
  • Monitor testing processes relative to applicable safety and quality management requirements
  • Conduct ongoing review of testing methods and procedures
  • Performance calibration and maintenance of testing equipmen
