Introduction The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level. This is a grant funded contractual position Responsibilities you will be responsible to: supervise and monitor all field activities at all field sites around the Pakistan coordinate with staff working at field sites in multiple cities of Pakistan for the completion of task within the stipulated timelines provide training to the project staff at multiple field sites coordinate with Government and Community stakeholders for carrying out the project activities in high-risk areas of Pakistan visit field sites for monitoring and auditing purpose to ensure proper field operations as per the guidelines and SoPs provided ensure the completeness of all the log books, CRFs supervise and monitor household visits monitor storage (place and method), record-keeping, and data entry of project related specimens ensure the completeness, proper entry and archiving of the CRFs and / or questionnaires monitor and report the hospital / mortality surveillance monitor and report on the disease surveillance from non-project facilities (private and public sectors, and NGOs) prepare and present weekly, fortnightly and monthly project reports and presentations for the progress of study being carried out at multiple locations Requirement You should have: Bachelor’s or master’s degree will be preferred in public health, Environmental Science, or a related field at least one to two years of relevant experience, Preferred in environmental health, air quality monitoring, or field instrumentation proficiency in English and strong written documentation skills proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SPSS competency with basic computing tasks (e.g., logging into cloud dashboards, downloading CSVs, documenting metadata, communicating via email) ability to travel to the monitoring site on a weekly basis excellent time management skills and the ability to priorities tasks efficiently good communication and interpersonal skills resilience and ability to cope under pressure the enthusiasm to work in different communities
