JOB SUMMARY

The Research Coordinator will develop and oversee research efforts that improve outcomes for people with disabilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate research and provide consultation on disability related research efforts across the department
  • Research results to recommend changes to programs and funding, and to recommend legislation
  • Lead communication of division and administration research efforts including testifying in support of legislation based on research efforts
  • Provide leadership to assure the quality of disability related research design, timeliness, and communication

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

3 years of specialized professional experience in disability supports systems, financing and providers. Experience must include:

  • Experience developing and implementing data analyses and research plans
  • Experience working with issues that impact supports for people with disabilities
  • Experience with accounting structure and federal government auditing and reporting requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to use plain language to communicate research findings
  • Ability to use statistical methods to design and complete public policy research
  • Ability to develop data analyses and research workflows
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint)
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and/or cultures
