QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as research data analyst, in a university or research-intensive institute.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or Power BI.
  • Experience with research databases such as Scopus, SciVal, Web of Science, or Google Scholar.
  • Strong skills in Excel/PowerBI, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with university research metrics and global ranking methodologies.
  • Experience in handling large datasets and generating analytical reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced academic setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively correspond and interact with faculty, academic colleges, and other offices within Ajman University.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English and preferably in Arabic, with the ability to craft professional and concise emails and other documents.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to proactively prioritize and manage competing tasks and deadlines.
  • Must possess exceptional record-keeping skills and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, while also able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, effectively managing workload and deadlines in a change while maintaining a high standard of quality in all work products.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, and analyze research-related data from internal and external sources such as Scopus, SciVal, QS tracker etc.
  • Develop and maintain databases to track faculty research outputs, publications, citations, funding, and rankings performance.
  • Prepare data-driven reports to support institutional research strategies and decision-making and setting strategies for the rankings.
  • Assist in the preparation of research-related reports for accreditation, rankings, and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate research performance metrics against global benchmarks.
  • Support faculty and researchers with data analysis for grant applications and research projects.
  • Collaborate with IT and research teams to implement automated data collection tools where possible.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reports and analytics
