Covered California is looking for a Senior Research Specialist to join our Policy, Eligibility, and Research Division!
As a Senior Research Specialist on Covered California’s Research team, you will be responsible for leading research and analytic projects to inform the organization’s operations and mission of providing affordable and quality coverage to Californians. Projects will span a diverse set of research areas, including policy development, program evaluation, consumer research, survey development, and healthcare cost and utilization trends. The Evaluation and Research team is seeking an analytically minded team member who is enthusiastic to learn new data sources and apply analytic learnings to support Marketplace policies and initiatives throughout the organization.

This position can be located at either of the following locations: Sacramento or Oakland, CA. Will consider candidates from all parts of California. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
