Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Gartner Research Board (GRB) is a division of Gartner dedicated to critically thinking about the strategic issues confronting technology executives at the world’s largest, most complex organizations (global companies and government agencies). Today, our clients face daunting obstacles including disruption from startups, the rise of entirely new business models, geopolitical headwinds, and massive re-organizational efforts. The mission of the GRB is simple: to deliver the strategic foresight that technology executives need in order to lead their organizations through times of uncertainty and change.
We place a high level of trust in our associates and expect them to rise to the occasion. You’ll be successful at the GRB if you are creative and curious; an independent thinker and a team player; a fast learner and a great writer. This role reports to the VP of Research for the Global Functional Leader (GFL) research team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Establish and guide the strategy and execution of the research and content the GRB produces for Global Heads of IT Sourcing and Procurement .
  • Architect the theme and agenda of high-impact member meetings, setting up a compelling list of sessions and speakers for each meeting.
  • Mentor and guide research analysts (RAs) while working closely with a global team of associates in service delivery, events, and other functions to deliver a world-class experience for the membership.
  • Oversight of content creation including determining the right scope, organizing the research process, creating the strategy for research interviews and other data collection.
  • Influencing the work of RAs by guiding content evolution & messaging,
  • Delivering reports and presentations that will challenge the thinking of senior executives from the world’s largest companies.
  • Partnering with the Programs team and other stakeholders to create must-have content and experiences that will serve and retain clients.
  • Grow the RB’s ecosystem of thought leaders (academics, investors, etc.), startups, and vendors that the research team can draw on for interviews and speakers.
  • Provide tailored briefings for clients and their teams reflecting the research, meeting conversations, and speakers, either face-to-face, or via video conference.
