Description

At Reality Labs, our goal is to define and deliver novel input and interaction solutions to enable experiences with AI devices. We are looking for a skilled Research Engineer to join our research team and help us define the interaction solutions of the future. Our input and interaction research and development lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction and machine. We are seeking engineers to work on the “full stack” of HCI problems, from low-level input processing all the way up to the application and interface. Join our team of researchers, interaction designers, hardware engineers, neuroscientists as we bring a game changing technology to life and make science fiction a reality!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
  • 2+ years of experience developing in C/C++
  • 1+ year of experience using game engines or UI frameworks, e.g., Unity, Unreal, React
  • 1+ year of experience working with and train/testing machine learning and AI models

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MS degree or equivalent experience in computer science, human-computer interaction, electrical engineering, bioinformatics, robotics or related field
  • Experience with human-computer-interaction
  • Experience with the research process (e.g., having participated on an academic publication)
Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with research scientists to execute advanced novel sensing, signal processing, and AI solutions to understand user interactions
  • Learn constantly, educate others, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AI problem solving in a collaborative research environment
  • Explore, experiment with, build and evaluate forward-looking interactions that are uniquely enabled by our novel hardware and sensing technologies
