Job Description We are looking for a Research Engineer with strong coding skills (preferably Python), contributing to applied research and European R&D projects focusing on AI. What You’ll Do · Design, develop, and optimize AI systems and services in Python (including intelligent agents, rule-based reasoning engines, and decision support systems), and deploy them as production-ready microservices or/and APIs · Support applied research initiatives and European R&D projects by implementing technical solutions, co-authoring research papers, and contributing in project deliverables and technical documentation · Build and maintain data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and rule-processing systems for model or agent execution · Maintain rigorous source control, documentation, and testing practices to ensure code quality and maintainability Qualifications & Skills · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. · 2+ years of experience in data-driven research and/or related software development roles · Programming skills in Python and understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP). · Experience with API development (mainly RESTful) and microservice architecture (FastAPI or similar frameworks). · Experience with SQL databases and ORMs such as SQLAlchemy · Experience working with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Self-motivated with ability to take ownership of technical challenges and deliver results Desired Qualifications · Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, or similar) · Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Docker Compose) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). · Modern workspace environment · Personal Development · Competitive Salary · Unlimited coffee Equal Employment Opportunity At Innovation Sprint, we value bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to develop new and innovative solutions for patients.
