An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Engineer in the Airframe Wing Research and Technology team at Airbus Filton. The successful candidate will be working on Airbus’ flagship sustainable aircraft project; ZEROe, which is aiming to certify a hydrogen powered aircraft for entry into service by 2035.

Responsibilities:
As a Research Engineer in Airbus R&T you will be:
- Developing new hydrogen mechanical and/or electrical systems installation design concepts from initial sketches to full 3D models using the latest Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools (Catia V6 ~ 3DX);
- Defining and supporting the manufacture and testing of physical prototypes of system installation components such as pipes, couplings, seals and sensors;
- Conducting external research to build our knowledge of hydrogen and identify interesting organisations, suppliers and technologies;
- Working collaboratively across the transnational ZEROe team and with a range of external suppliers and partners.
