Satellite Research Centre (SaRC)
SaRC is committed to advancing research and development in space science and technology. Since its inception, SaRC has successfully designed, launched, and operated 13 satellites in orbit (as of 2024), building on over a decade of expertise and accumulated data in satellite development and operations.

We are seeking a Research Engineer to contribute to R&D efforts in spacecraft development. This role primarily focuses on mechanical structure and thermal analysis. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate closely with the entire satellite team to ensure the successful development and operation of satellites within the allocated schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical design and structural analysis for satellite projects.
• Support/Perform thermal analysis and control for satellite projects.
• Plan and conduct environmental test for satellite systems/subsystems, i.e., vibration, shock, and thermal-vacuum tests.
• Design mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE) for assembly, integration and testing of satellites. Work with suppliers for fabrication of the equipment.
• Hand on in assembly, harness, and integration of satellite.
• Generate specifications and protocol.
• Generate test scripts/algorithm/process to ensure system integrity and reliability.
• Work with team members to ensure smooth integration of various subsystems.
• Document all process and implementation.
• Manage tasks according to project schedule and budget.
• Support the centre and project operation, such as satellite mission operation, satellite testing and student activities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor‘s degree in Mechanical Engineering and above in or related field from a reputable university
• Diploma with good industry experience may also be considered
• Able to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
• Good self-discipline and team player.
• Fluent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, Thermal Desktop or similar CAD and Thermal Analysis software.

Preferred Requirement

• Complete full product life cycle
• Experience in structure and thermal design
• Proficient in MATLAB and/or Python
