Our Brussels office opened in 2017, and today we have almost 80 people in the team. As a result of our growth, we are currently looking for a Research Executive for a 6-month paid internship. The role will focus on working within different sectors including circular economy, environmental sustainability, consumer goods, and chemicals, with the opportunity to work with other business areas depending on evolving client needs.
We offer the opportunity to work and grow in a fast-paced but energetic consultancy environment. Anyone joining will have the opportunity to develop within the Rud Pedersen team, working with our Brussels partners and the wider company.

THE POSITION

In particular, the role entails:

  • Following EU developments and undertaking initial research on policy issues on behalf of clients;
  • Supporting team with legislative, regulatory and press monitoring;
  • Helping to organize and execute events;
  • Taking an active role in client teams, suggesting improvements for servicing of clients with regards to research;
  • Participating at external events relevant to day-to-day work and seeking to build relationships with external actors at an appropriate level;
  • Building competence at undertaking public affairs tasks on behalf of clients.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidate for this position will have the following profile:

  • Experience working with or in the EU institutions, consultancies, trade associations, or other organisations concerned with public affairs in an EU context;
  • Master in a relevant field;
  • Interest and preferably some content knowledge in the fields of environmental policy, and circular economy or chemicals;
  • An enthusiasm for conducting public affairs and communications in all its forms, from direct outreach to social media engagement;
  • Interest in helping to organise and manage events;
  • Full professional proficiency in English, with working knowledge of French or another EU official language.
